Der Vinckeplatz

Your children want to play and let off steam? And as close to the hotel as possible? Then the inner city of Dortmund offers many places to go. About one kilometer from our hotel is Vinckeplatz. An enclosed playground with a climbing frame, sandpit and ping pong tables. In the café with a direct view of the playground, you can relax also as a mother or father.   

For hotter days you also find, just a few yards on the right of our hotel entrance, a great water playground. And just a few minutes‘ walk further, to the left of the wonderful Petri Church at Westenhellweg, there are two giant seesaws that inspire visitors both small and big again and again.

Tree to Tree: Can it be an activity with a little more adventure? Then the climbing forest Tree2Tree is definitely the right thing to do. From small to large, everyone gets their money’s worth here. 14 courses distributed in 20,000 sq m guarantee a lot of fun.

Lake Phoenix: You are longing for a relaxing day at the lake? Also that can be easily combined with your stay with us. At Lake Phoenix, yau can go by pedal-boat, take a little tour around the lake with inline skates or by bycicle, or just lie on the lawn and let your mind wander.  Off to the lake!

The world of animals: Always worth a visit: Zoo Dortmund! Here you can stroll with your family in a relaxed way, watching the animals. And, of course, also here is a playground to work off. Discover the Zoo!

Active even in the rain

Solve the mystery: Adventure playground is something for the little ones? What you need is a little more thrill? Then let’s go into the Escape Room „Enigmanio“. With up to 15 people, the whole family and friends can participate in a game.

Learning by doing and playing: Getting to know different cultures with all senses? Discovering new topics? For children from 3-12, the children’s museum is perfect for that. Always up-to-date, you can, for example, participate in a climate puzzle and fight for a clean world. All family members are asked here!

Kick it: Football is just part of your life? Or your children’s? At the German Football Museum you can dream of being a football star yourself. You can prove your qualities as a commentator and marvel at real winners‘ cups.

Start film!Watching relaxed a movie on the screen while it is raining outside? What is cosier? Then we recommend a visit in the Cinestar near the hotel. Check out the Programme
