Why?

We all are making a contribution to create awareness of sustainability. You as a guest, we as a company and each of our staff.

It is very important to us to stand up together for topics like conscious use of resources, waste prevention and more regionality. For it’s also in the travelling and hotel industry that change which offers the environment and subsequent generations a future, can only take place in this way.

How?

We do know, of course, that we still have a few steps to go to the green hotel. In order to see where we actually are and where it can go next, often a view from the outside helps.

That is why we have every hotel checked by the InfraCert institute and certified with the GreenSign.

Everything digital?!

With us, you obtain your own guest platform – without any annoying installation of an extra App. Just log in via the browser and get started.

This makes processing of your booking or other data easier, and it helps us to capture everything digitally and cosume less paper. Should your invoice be required in paper form, though, we print it out for you only on paper from sustainable forestry.

No matter whether it’s booking, cancellations, check-in and check-out or extra wishes – you can do everything completely self-sufficiently unless you need direct help on location to get a problem solved or questions answered, then our team will be there for you, of course.

Your GreenCard and just switch off

Exchange room service for hot drink! Save actively energy in your stay and determine yourself how often your room and your laundry should be cleaned.

You can also operate the lights and air conditioning independently and switch them on when you really need them. Decide for yourself!

Through LED lamps throughout the hotel and timers, as well as motion detectors in the hallways, we reduce energy consumption and together create another step towards the green hotel.

Despite the fact that we buy green electricity from certified European hydroelectric power plants, we are happy about everythiung that can be additionally saved with your help.

Modern, cosy, sustainable

Adjectives made for you? For our rooms, too! Warm wood tones in combination with dark metal accents and clear design elements give you a cosy feeling when entering the room. You sleep in a room with textiles and wooden furniture from natural materials which show their natural colours.   
That’s why they exhibit less quickly signs of use and can thus be used a very long time. Find your room here.

To save energy you don’t find in our rooms mini-bars, water boilers, coffee machines or reception lighting. Likewise, you won’t find small one-way trash bags or toothbrush tumblers made of plastic. Thus we prevent plastic waste and make a further small contribution to protect nature.

Everything clean

For you only visible in the form of a clean room, it is also important to us that we only use environment-friendly cleaning products. All our detergents are sustainably certified.

When cleaning rooms, care is taken that water is only used in the amount that is required. Our cleaning staff get trained as to the use of water and cleaning supplies.

Together

You are dependant on a barrier-free entrance and wheelchair-accessible room? We have, of course, also taken care of this.

Sustainability is not just for the protection of our environment, but also for fair and responsible dealings with each other.

Therefore, we not only take care of your wellbeing, but also of that of our staff. Feedback talks, training and advancement are equally part of togetherness as a flexible and independent division of labour.

Got on the bike

You, your legs and two wheels. The best locomotion that exists? In any case! Your bicycle and you are in best hands with us. We have even been certified by Bett+Bike for this!

But we don’t olnly support you in this healthy locomotion, also our staff can use a job bike so that even more of them can ride to work by bike.

Ecosia

Did you know that there is an ecological search engine? We did not know until recently either.

With Ecosia, you can look for topics and thereby plant trees. With their advertising revenue, the German company finances many sustainable projects and, above all, reforests forests.

Further development

Thinking outside the box and opening up to new findings can be pretty difficult. However, it is essential for further development. In order not to lose sight of it in our everyday life, there are working groups and a female sustainability officer with us. Additionally, we consult figures steadily gathered that help us to go in the right direction.

You are what you eat

If conscious nutrition means to you balance rather than renunciation, you have come to the right place!

Start the day with a high-fiber wholemeal bread, wholesome müsli or a bowl full of vitamins. Then it may occasionally be something sweet for the soul in the afternoon.

From the sustainable breakfast buffet to the selection of products at the counter, a big range of vegetarian and vegan products awaits you by all means. Wherever possible, we do without preservatives and colouring agents, and our fish is 100% ACS-certified.

Start the day sustainably

A balanced breakfast starts the day well. Besides the range of products, their origin is important. That’s why we likewise take care of freshness, cultivation, manufacture, transport, regionality and bioquality, as well as a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Also important is the proper preparation of dishes, Did you know that, for example, it is much more sustainable to stack meat and cheese instead of putting them in shelves? This way the products keep longer fresh. Also, the use of glass for yoghurt, müsli or fruit salad enables us to do without plastic.Therefore, you won’t find any packaged products on our breakfast buffet.

NO to food waste

Do you know „Too Good To Go“? Via this App you can save left-over food from restaurants, bakers, hotels etc. from the garbage can.

Unfortunately, it cannot be avoided that food remains with us, too.
Food that can still be eaten, of course.

That’s why we cooperate with „Too Good To Go“. Thus, we can fill buffet and showcase well for you and do not have to throw food away.
